Penny Hauser Bell

April 29, 1963 — March 1, 2026

In loving memory, we honor the life of Penny Hauser Bell, who graced this world on April 29, 1963, in Lewisville, North Carolina, and departed peacefully on March 1, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness. Penny was a beacon of love, warmth, and joy, whose presence touched the lives of many and whose memory will forever be cherished. Penny was born to Kenneth Gray Hauser Sr. and Jo Ann Hampton Hauser, who preceded her in death. She was a beloved sister to Gray Hauser, who, alongside his wife Megan, shared countless cherished memories and family bonds. Penny was the proud aunt to Matthew Hauser (Abbi), Kathryn Robertson (Nick), and Jake Hauser, all of whom she adored. Penny’s journey in life was marked by her unwavering devotion to her family. She leaves behind her loving husband of nearly 36 years, Owen Bell. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and countless adventures. Their union, which began on May 26, 1990, in North Carolina, was blessed with two wonderful children, Morgan Bell Rackley (Sandy) and Nathan Bell (Emma Winters), who carry forward her legacy of kindness and love. Her heart was filled with joy by her granddaughter, Ensley Rackley, with whom she shared her passion for the outdoors and sunshine. A proud graduate of West Forsyth High School, Penny went on to earn a Bachelor of Science from High Point University. Her career as a paralegal was marked by dedication and professionalism until she chose to step back to focus on what she held most dear—her family. Outside of her professional life, Penny was an active member of Center Grove Baptist Church, where her kindhearted spirit and bright personality were appreciated by all. Penny had a gift for making everyone feel welcomed and valued; she never met a stranger and engaged in conversations with everyone she encountered. Her vibrant personality was matched by her love for life’s simple pleasures, such as family vacations, weekly family gatherings, and her cherished soap operas. Her legacy is one of love, kindness, and a life lived fully. A celebration of Penny’s life will be held on March 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. In keeping with Penny’s wishes, the family kindly requests that attendees wear vibrant colors to honor her vivacious spirit and celebrate the beautiful life she lived. In this time of sorrow, as we bid farewell to a remarkable woman, let us remember Penny for the joy she brought into our lives, the warmth of her embrace, and the kindness that she extended to everyone she met. Her memory will forever be a light in our hearts.
