It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Penny Elaine Skinner, a beloved soul who graced this world with her warmth and kindness. Penny was born on June 17, 1943, in the charming town of Great Falls, Montana, to her loving parents, Mary and Joe. She peacefully departed this life on July 27, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Penny's life was a testament to the joys of family and friendship. She was predeceased by her dear sister, Debbie, but is survived by her devoted wife, Lana Sherrill, with whom she shared a beautiful bond of friendship that blossomed into marriage on October 20, 2025. Their companionship spanned 37 wonderful years, marked by laughter, adventure, and unwavering support. Penny was a nurturing presence in the lives of her family, leaving behind her sisters Lorrie Skinner, Marlaine Skinner, Suzie Skinner, and Jackie Allison. Her nephews Billie, Michael Futa, and Tim Martinez remember her fondly as an aunt who was always generous with her love and wisdom. Penny's legacy continues through her 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. In her leisure, Penny found solace and creativity in cross-stitching, meticulously crafting pieces that reflected her attention to detail and love for beauty. Music was another passion that filled her days, providing a soundtrack to her life's moments. Penny's vibrant spirit was evident in her love for dining out, where she relished good food and great company. Penny's warmth and radiant smile touched everyone she met. Her family and friends held a special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her generous spirit and genuine kindness were the hallmarks of a life well-lived. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff at Cape Coral Hospital and the dedicated team at Hope Hospice House in Cape Coral, Florida, for their attentive care and support during Penny's final days. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of the donor's choice, honoring Penny's generous nature and desire to make a difference in the world. Penny Elaine Skinner will forever be remembered as a loving wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. Her spirit will remain a guiding light for all who knew her, and her memory will be cherished in the hearts of her loved ones.
