Peggy Loraine Marbry, cherished daughter, devoted mother, and beloved friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Ripley, TN, on August 19, 2026. Born on February 21, 1977, in Memphis, TN, Peggy's journey through life was marked by her vibrant spirit and her unwavering love for her family and community. Peggy was the daughter of Eugene Vaughn and the late Kath Ann (Dawson) Vaughn. Her bond with her mother was profound, and they shared many cherished memories until Kath Ann's passing. Peggy is survived by her loving father, Eugene Vaughn, who resides in Ripley, TN. She is also survived by her beloved daughter, Laura Marbry, who was the light of Peggy's life and her greatest joy. Peggy's life was filled with dedication to her family and her work. She spent many years working as a clerk at a convenience store, where she was known for her kindness and for greeting everyone with a warm smile. Her work was more than just a job; it was an opportunity to touch the lives of those in her community. A woman of many talents and interests, Peggy had a passion for antiques and the art of refurbishing furniture. She found joy in transforming something old into something beautiful and new. Her creative spirit was also evident in the wreaths she lovingly crafted. Peggy found peace in the great outdoors, often walking trails and exploring nature with her daughter, Laura. Her love for gardening allowed her to nurture life and beauty, mirroring the care she showed to those around her. Peggy was a dedicated member of the Henning First Assembly of God. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength and comfort. Her involvement in the church community was a testament to her commitment to living a life of service and love. In addition to her father and daughter, Peggy is survived by her brother, Bryan Vaughn, and his wife Malinda, both of Ripley, TN. She was a proud aunt to her two nephews, Hunter and Blane Vaughn, who both reside in Ripley. Peggy's family was her anchor, and she cherished every moment spent in their company. A celebration of Peggy's life will be held on August 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Halls Funeral Home, located at 109 N. Church St., Halls, TN 38040. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the life of a remarkable woman who gave so much to those around her.
