Her legacy continues through her 25 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren, who will carry her love and warmth forward. Throughout her life, Peggy was a beacon of kindness and generosity. She dedicated over 30 years to her career as a cleaner, spending more than a decade at Fort Pierce Jai Alai. Her work ethic was matched only by her compassion, as she spent many weekends volunteering at soup kitchens and feeding the homeless. Known for her boundless heart and willingness to help anyone in need, Peggy touched the lives of all who knew her. A service to celebrate Peggy's life will be held on July 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Providence Missionary Baptist Church of Atlanta, located at 2295 Benjamin E. Mays Drive SW, Atlanta, GA 30311. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Providence Missionary for their compassionate care during this difficult time. In honor of Peggy's giving spirit, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a local soup kitchen or a charity that supports the homeless, in lieu of flowers. Peggy Jefferson will be remembered for her unwavering love and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of her family and friends. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
