Pedro Lagunas Jr
September 6, 1951 — July 22, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pedro Lagunas Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Born on September 6, 1951, in El Paso, Texas, Pedro was the cherished son of Pedro Sr. and Martha Lagunas. He left this world peacefully on July 22, 2026, surrounded by the love and warmth of his family.
Pedro’s life was marked by his unwavering dedication to family and country. A proud veteran, he served with honor in the United States Marine Corps, bravely participating in Operation Desert Storm. His love for his country was matched only by his love for his family and his passion for sports, especially his Dallas Cowboys, whom he cheered for with fervor and joy.
In 1971, Pedro married his soulmate, Maria, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter over 55 beautiful years. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Peter and Lisa, who, along with their spouses Yesenia and Richard, brought immense pride and joy to Pedro’s life. His granddaughters, Isabelle and Alexis, held a special place in his heart, as did his goddaughter Lydia. Pedro’s family was his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Pedro was known for his quick wit and kind heart, always ready with a joke or a helping hand. His generosity touched countless lives, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and goodwill. His brother, Gilbert, and many loving family members will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Though Pedro’s family is heartbroken by his passing, they take solace in the knowledge that his spirit will remain with them always. In their own words, "His family will miss him beyond words; he leaves behind many broken hearts, but he will be with them all forever."
In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor Pedro’s memory to donate to a charity of their choice. This gesture will continue Pedro’s legacy of generosity and kindness.
Pedro Lagunas Jr. will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His laughter, love, and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
