It is with deep sadness and profound love that we announce the passing of Pearl Neolene Cowie-Guichard, who left this world on August 28, 2026, at the age of 100. Born on July 7, 1926, in the serene town of Sherwood Park, Tobago, Pearl was the cherished daughter of William Hollman Eaton James and Violet Keziah James. Her life was a brilliant tapestry of love, laughter, and unwavering kindness.
Pearl was the beloved matriarch of a large, devoted family, who were the center of her world. She is survived by her siblings Fritz-Herbert, Lynne, Marcelle, Ruby, Lloyd, Ashley, and Hubert. Her legacy lives on through her 11 children by birth and marriage, along with her 25 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren, who adored their "Granny" and will carry her spirit forward.
Throughout her life, Pearl was known for her quick wit and warm smile, always ready with a joke to lighten the mood. She owned and operated a loving daycare center, where she nurtured countless young lives with her generous spirit and boundless patience. Pearl had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued, and her kindness and generosity touched the hearts of many in her community and beyond.
Pearl's passions extended into her hobbies, where she found joy in cooking and being there for others. Her kitchen was a haven of delicious aromas, laughter, and love, where family and friends gathered to share meals and stories. Her hospitality was legendary, and her home was always open to those in need of comfort and care.
The Cowie-Guichard family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Rosalie Blackburn, a cherished member of our family through love and devotion. Over the past several years, her unwavering care, patience, compassion, and dedication to Mom contributed immeasurably to her comfort, wellbeing, and remarkable longevity.

A service to celebrate Pearl's incredible life will be held on September 5, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Pearl's memory to a charity of your choice, continuing her legacy of giving and compassion.
