With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of our beloved Pearl Bowden, who departed this world peacefully at her home on April 12, 2026, at the age of 70. Pearl was born on April 2, 1956, in the vibrant city of Miami, Florida, to Betty-Jean Brown and Ronald Bowden Sr. She was a cherished daughter, sister, partner, mother, grandmother, and friend, whose nurturing spirit touched the lives of everyone she met. Pearl was a beacon of warmth and compassion, a true embodiment of grace. She devoted her life to caring for others as a private nurse, providing comfort and healing to countless individuals and families. Her career was more than a profession; it was an extension of her boundless love and empathy, a calling she answered with unwavering dedication. A proud graduate of Miami Northwestern Senior High School in the class of 1974, Pearl carried her love for learning and community into her active membership at Calvery Chapel of North Carolina. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her. Pearl's vibrant presence will be deeply missed within the congregation, where she was known for her kindness and unwavering support. Pearl's life was rich with family, love, and laughter. She leaves behind her devoted partner, Jim Hunt, whose love and companionship were a constant source of joy. Her legacy continues through her cherished children, Tiffany Hunt and Thaddeus Hunt, and her beloved Tonya Bowden and Andrew Bowden. Pearl's nurturing spirit lives on in her grandchildren: Tanner Bowden, Andre Bowden, Quinton Williams, Anna Bowden, Ashley Bowden, Alicia Bowden, and Quilla Williams, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Preceded in death by her loving parents, Betty-Jean Brown and Ronald Bowden Sr., as well as her dear sister Ella Bowden and brother John Bowden, Pearl is now reunited with them in eternal peace. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, who will forever cherish her memory and the love she imparted. A celebration of Pearl's life will be held on April 18, 2026, at Calvery Chapel, located at 110 Moose Club Rd., Statesville, NC 28677. The service will begin at 10:00 PM, where family and friends will gather to honor her remarkable life and the indelible impact she has made on all who knew her. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude for the outpouring of prayers, calls, and kind words during this time of bereavement.
