Pauline Veronica (Huck) Zentner, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2026, at Peaceful Pines Living Center in Fort Pierre, SD. Born on April 5, 1946, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Dickinson, ND, Pauline was a beacon of love and resilience throughout her life. Pauline was the cherished daughter of Ralph and Katie Huck. She was married to her beloved husband Leon on June 6, 1964, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Sturgis, SD. Together, Pauline and Leon built a life full of love and adventure on their farm south of Morristown, SD. In 1979, they proudly purchased The Hard Hat Ranch, where they raised their three children, Mike, Tim, and Dawn. In the summer of 1965, Pauline was involved in a serious car accident that left her with severe injuries, including a crushed voice box and a broken neck. Despite these challenges, Pauline's indomitable spirit shone through, and she communicated with her family in whispers that spoke volumes of her strength and determination. Pauline was an active member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morristown and participated in the Sacred Heart Altar Society. She also served her community by delivering mail and supporting her family on the ranch. Pauline's door was always open to friends and family, and her home was filled with warmth and laughter. She relished the company of her sisters, friends, and family, and enjoyed trips to the casino and lively card games that brought joy during the long winter months. Pauline's legacy is carried on by her children Mike (Serena), Tim, and Dawn (Sam), her eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by nine sisters, four brothers, and her dear friends Joni and Gwen. She was predeceased by her husband Leon, her grandson Nickolas, her parents, and several siblings. Pauline was a woman of kindness, grace, and adventure. Her smile could light up any room, and she was always ready to lend a helping hand or an empathetic ear. Her life was a testament to resilience and the power of love. In memory of Pauline, donations can be made to a charity of your choice, honoring her generous spirit and commitment to helping others. Her life was a gift to all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community.
