In Loving Memory

Pauline “Polly” Wilson Jenkins
February 7, 1943 — September 29, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Pauline “Polly” Wilson Jenkins. Polly passed away peacefully on September 29, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on February 7, 1943, Polly grew up with a spirit as vibrant as the world around her. Her life was a testament to love, kindness, and dedication. She was a beacon of light to all who knew her, a woman of grace and strength, whose faith and resilience guided her through life's many challenges.
Polly was a treasured member of the Antioch AME Zion Church for 35 years, where she found a deep spiritual home and community. Her commitment to her faith and her church family was unwavering, and she served diligently in various capacities, offering her wisdom, warmth, and unwavering support.
Polly was preceded in death by her dear siblings, Kenny Wilson, Arthur Wilson, and Debbie Wilson. Despite these profound losses, she remained a symbol of strength and unity for her family.
She leaves behind a loving legacy in her children: Shannon Jenkins, Clarice Jenkins, and Cherry Wilson. Her nurturing spirit and infectious joy live on in her six grandchildren: Valerie Jenkins, Mary Sumter, Zellon Jenkins, Anthony Nicely, Jeremiah Nicely, and Linda Jenkins, and in her four great-grandchildren. Polly's love extended beyond her immediate family to her extended family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.
As we gather to honor Polly, we remember her favorite scripture, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me.” — Psalm 23:4.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Polly's memory to her cherished Antioch AME Zion Church, so that her spirit may continue to support the community she loved so dearly.
Polly's memory is one that will never fade. She taught us all the true meaning of unconditional love and strength through adversity. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were privileged to know her.
Forever loved.
Forever remembered.
Forever in our hearts.

If Tomorrow Starts Without Me
If tomorrow starts without me, and I'm not there to see, if the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me; I wish so much you wouldn't cry the way you did today, while thinking of the many things we didn't get to say. I know how much you love me, as much as I love you, and each time that you think of me, I know you'll miss me too. But when tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand that an angel came and called my name and took me by the hand.
Special Thanks
The family of Pauline “Polly” Wilson Jenkins extends heartfelt gratitude for your prayers, support, and kindness during this time.
