Pauline Clark
September 20, 1935 — March 20, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved matriarch, Pauline Clark, on March 20, 2026. Pauline departed this world as gracefully as she lived within it, at the age of 90, surrounded by love and the cherished memories she spent a lifetime creating.
Born on September 20, 1935, in the quaint town of Church Hill, TN, Pauline was the cherished daughter of Nick Davis and Roxie Woods. Her early years were shaped by the love and guidance of her parents and her brothers, Bill, Fred, and Jerry, all of whom predeceased her, along with her beloved husband, Paul Clark, and her treasured daughter, Regina Dawn. Despite the heartache of these losses, Pauline's spirit remained unbroken, her heart ever open to the beauty and love still present in her life.
Pauline's journey through life was marked by her unwavering dedication to family. She was the proud and loving mother of four surviving children: Lisa (Steve) of Jonesborough, Janice (Randy) of Kingsport, Gary (Sally) of Kentucky, and Larry (Donna) of Florida. Her family was her greatest joy, and her legacy continues through them and her cherished stepdaughter. Her nurturing spirit and gentle guidance were also embraced by her five great-grandchildren, who brought boundless joy and laughter into her life.
A nurturing soul, Pauline's warmth extended beyond her familial ties, touching the lives of all who had the privilege to know her. Her home was a haven of comfort and hospitality, where the door was always open, and the coffee pot perpetually full. Her laughter, a soothing melody, and her stories, woven with wisdom and humor, were gifts she generously shared with all who sat at her table.
Pauline's life was a testament to resilience, kindness, and strength. Her philosophy was simple yet profound: to love deeply, give generously, and find joy in the simple pleasures of life. She found peace in her garden, solace in the pages of her favorite novels, and a deep sense of community in her church, where she was a devoted member and a source of inspiration to many.
As we gather to celebrate Pauline's life, we remember a woman whose heart was as expansive as the skies and whose love knew no bounds. Her legacy is not just in the family she leaves behind but in the countless lives she touched with her kindness, her wisdom, and her unwavering faith.
We invite all who knew and loved Pauline to join us in a celebration of her extraordinary life. A service will be held to honor her memory and the indelible mark she left on our hearts. Details of the service will be shared in the coming days.
Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing that Pauline is now reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her, and she will forever watch over us with the same love and care she bestowed upon us in life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Pauline's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her spirit of generosity and compassion.
Pauline Clark's legacy is a tapestry of love, woven with threads of kindness and compassion. May we all strive to emulate her grace and carry her spirit forward in our own lives.
