February 3, 1934 — June 6, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of our beloved Paula Agnes Slater on June 6, 2026. Born on February 3, 1934, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Paula left this world peacefully, wrapped in the love and warmth of her cherished three daughters. Paula was the beloved daughter of Paul and Agnes Slater, who undoubtedly greeted her with open arms in the hereafter. A devoted wife, she is predeceased by her husband, Jerry Martin, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership. She was also preceded in death by her dear sons, Christopher Paul and James Matthew, whose memories she held close to her heart each day. Paula's legacy continues to blossom in the lives of her surviving family members: her daughters, Angela Martin, Delores Lightsey and her husband Mike, and Cecilia Smith and her husband Steve. She was the proud grandmother of Michael Ream, who, along with his partner Shelli Dyer, blessed Paula with the joy of two great-grandchildren, Blaine and Gemma Ream. These young lives were brightened by the warmth of their great-grandmother's love. For many years, Paula dedicated herself to her career as a billing assistant at Southwestern Bell. Her meticulous work and unwavering dedication earned her respect and admiration from colleagues and friends alike. Beyond her professional life, Paula was a steadfast member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, where her faith and commitment to her community touched the lives of many. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Paula's name to an animal sanctuary of your choice, a reflection of her enduring love and compassion for all of God's creatures. As we remember Paula, we are reminded of her gentle spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and her enduring strength through life's greatest joys and sorrows. Her family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Integris Hospital for the gentle, kind care she received in her final days. A memorial service to celebrate Paula's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to share stories and honor the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. Paula Agnes Slater was a beacon of love, strength, and kindness, and she will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
