It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paula Pitt, who went home to see our father in heaven on June 21, 2026, at the age of 72. She was at her beloved home, surrounded by her cherished family, in her final moments. Born on February 3, 1954, in Cadillac, Michigan, Paula was the daughter of Paul Jewell and the late Sandra (Britten) Longest. She was preceded in death by her mother, her dear daughters, Sabrina and Samantha, and brother Bruce Jewell whose memories she cherished deeply throughout her life. Paula is survived by her adoring daughters, Christi and Toya, and her brother, Mike Jewell, and sister, Gala Hartley. Her legacy will continue through her six treasured grandchildren: Jaiden, Omar, David, Vanessa, Gabriel, and Dominic, who brought immense joy and pride to her life. Paula's journey in education began with her graduation from Marion High School in 1972. She continued to pursue her passion for learning, obtaining an Associate's Degree in Arts from Hartnell College. Her dedication to serving others was evident in her military service; Paula honorably served as a nurse's aide in the US Army from 1973 to 1975. A woman of deep faith, Paula was an active member of the Clare Assembly of God, where she found spiritual nourishment and a sense of community. Her involvement in church activities was a testament to her commitment to her faith and her love for her extended church family. Paula's life was filled with simple joys and profound love. She found delight in solving puzzles, a pastime that reflected her thoughtful and patient nature. Her love for singing filled her home with melody and warmth, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her. In honoring Paula's memory, the family kindly requests that any memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting the generosity and compassion that Paula exemplified throughout her life. Though she has left this earthly plane, Paula's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her. Her life, filled with love, service, and grace, will continue to inspire and guide her family and friends as they carry her memory forward.
