It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Paul Tongia Langi, who left this earthly life peacefully at home on July 31, 2026. Born on March 18, 1962, in Kahuku, Oahu, Hawaii, Paul was the beloved son of Afe and Ana Langi. His life was a testament to faith, family, and an unyielding dedication to his craft and community. Paul shared a cherished and enduring partnership with his beloved spouse, Velonika, with whom he was united in marriage on November 11, 1989, in Tonga. Together, they raised seven beautiful children—Paul, Rubi, Sione, Edwin, Tevita, Tito, and George—instilling in them the values of love, service, and faith. His legacy extends to his treasured grandchildren, Paul, Moe, and Molonai, who were the light of his life. A gifted builder and general contractor, Paul followed in the footsteps of his father, traveling the world to construct chapels, temples, and schools. His skilled hands left an indelible mark across Tonga, the USA, Samoa, and Fiji. Beyond his professional work, Paul was a devoted fisherman and farmer, renowned for cultivating the finest yams in Tonga and providing bountifully for his family. Paul's heart brimmed with music. An extraordinary singer and musician, he filled his home with joyous melodies, serenading family and friends alike. His commitment to the gospel and the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was unparalleled, a guiding light for his children, six of whom have served full-time missions worldwide, with two preparing to follow in those footsteps. Paul was a beacon of wisdom and compassion, known for his eloquence, honesty, and unwavering kindness. He loved unconditionally, embracing all within his circle with the love of the Savior. His bold spirit and generous heart touched many lives, leaving an enduring legacy of love and integrity. A service to celebrate Paul’s remarkable life will be held on August 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 1178 S Pondside Dr, Saratoga Springs, UT. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived and a man deeply cherished. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to a cause close to Paul's heart, reflecting his lifelong commitment to serving others. Forever in our hearts, Paul Tongia Langi’s spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who knew him.
