It is with profound sadness and heartfelt gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Paul Ross, who departed this world on June 18, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on November 10, 1953, in the serene town of Seneca Falls, NY, Paul was a cherished soul whose warmth and kindness touched the hearts of many.
Paul was the beloved son of Franklin Ross and Mary and Albert LaFrance, who preceded him in death. He was a devoted husband to Ann Ross, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage filled with love and companionship. Together, they built a beautiful family that was the centrefold of his life.
He is survived by his children, who carry forward his legacy of love and dedication: Paul Ross and his wife Lisa, Lynn Jeffress and her husband Jeff, and Jessi Combs and her husband Adam. Paul's joy multiplied with the blessing of twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, each of whom he adored deeply and who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.
Paul's siblings, Cheryl Leach (Tom), Evie Tilden (Johnny), Albert LaFrance (April), and Brenda LaFrance, were not only family but cherished friends who walked alongside him throughout his life. Their bond was a testament to the strength and unity that defined Paul's relationships with those he loved.
A proud veteran, Paul served his country with honor and distinction in the U.S. Army from 1973 to 1995, achieving the rank of Sergeant First Class. His military career took him to places such as Germany, Virginia, Okinawa, and New York, where he exemplified courage, dedication, and leadership.
Following his retirement from military service, Paul found fulfillment in his work at B&B Lumber, where he applied his skills in sharpening saw blades, maintenance, and repair work. His colleagues remember him as a diligent and reliable worker, always ready with a helping hand and a warm smile.
Paul's life will be celebrated at a service on June 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Delphi Falls United Church, located at 2190 Oran Delphi Rd, Manlius, NY 13104. Followed by a Celebration of Life at Highland Forest Community Center at 1254 Highland Park Rd, Fabius, NY 13063. Those who knew Paul are invited to join his family in honoring his memory and the indelible mark he left on the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
The Ross family extends their deepest gratitude to the amazing staff at Crouse Community Center in Morrisville, NY, for their exceptional care and compassion during Paul's courageous battle with cancer. Their kindness will always be remembered.
