Paul Michael Ferguson

April 22, 1955 — April 25, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of our beloved Paul Michael Ferguson, who departed this world on April 25, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on April 22, 1955, in the heart of Ohio, Paul was the cherished son of Paul Ferguson and Jewel Wilburn. He peacefully left us, surrounded by his dear family and friends, after bravely battling several illnesses, a testament to his indomitable spirit and unwavering resilience. Paul's life was a tapestry woven with rich experiences and deep connections. He served his country with honor and pride as a member of the United States Army, embodying the values of courage and dedication. His service was a chapter of his life that he carried with immense pride, and he found solace and camaraderie in later years at the Sandusky Veterans Home, where he resided for over two decades. A man of many passions, Paul found joy in the simple pleasures of life—music that stirred his soul, the great outdoors that beckoned him with its beauty, and the thrill of spicy food that matched his zestful personality. His stubborn nature was matched only by his outgoing spirit, a combination that endeared him to everyone he met. Paul's infectious smile was a beacon of warmth and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to cross his path. Paul's legacy is carried forward by his loving family, who were the center of his universe. He is survived by his devoted sisters, Jennifer Wilburn Moore and Sheila Leahy, and his brothers, Tony Ferguson, Leslie Ferguson, Scotty Ferguson, and Douglas Ferguson. His memory will be cherished by his daughters, Tonya Ann Ferguson Rogers and Amanda Renee Ferguson, whose lives he enriched with his wisdom and love. Paul was the proud grandfather of five beloved grandchildren: Desiree Mills, Alexa Bell Freeman, Isabella Ferguson, Kason Rogers, and Matthew Rogers. The laughter of his great-grandchildren, Asiah Fulmer and Ace Fulmer, brought him immense joy and a sense of continuity that filled his heart with peace. As we gather to celebrate and honor Paul's life, we invite all who knew him to join us for a service on May 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Spann Cemetery. It is here that we will pay tribute to a man whose life was a testament to love, laughter, and perseverance. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a veterans' organization of your choice, a gesture that would honor Paul's commitment and service to his country. Paul Michael Ferguson's journey on this earth has ended, but his legacy of love, strength, and happiness will forever resonate in the hearts of those he touched. His memory will be a cherished beacon of light guiding us through the days ahead. Rest in peace, dear Paul, knowing you were deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
