Born on December 24, 1976, in Provo, Utah, Paul was a cherished soul whose gentle spirit and warm heart touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Paul was the beloved son of Irene O'Brien and the late Howard Bartlett. His life was a tapestry woven with love and laughter, shared with his mother and stepfather, Pat O'Brien, and his siblings Mark Bartlett (Fenny), Julie Bartlett Hickerson (Robert), Daniel O'Brien (Erica), Jacob O'Brien, Jared O'Brien (Cyriel), and Deborah O'Brien Cole (Jeremy). He was cherished by a large extended family and many dear friends who will always remember his kind nature and infectious smile. Paul's educational journey included special training at Oakridge and Sanpete High Schools, where he developed skills that he would carry into his professional life. He worked with dedication at the Affinity sheltered workshop in Nephi, where his contributions were valued and his presence brought joy to his colleagues. A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Paul's faith was a cornerstone of his life. He found great joy in participating in the Special Olympics, where he not only competed but inspired those around him with his perseverance and sportsmanship. Paul was a man of simple pleasures and profound kindness. His life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and community. His gentle demeanor and unwavering optimism were a source of strength for his family and friends. Paul was known for his ability to find joy in everyday moments and his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. A service to celebrate Paul's life will be held on July 9, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the LDS church. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Paul's memory, as a way to honor his generous spirit and commitment to helping others.
