Paul was born on July 7, 1945, in Fresno, CA, and from a young age, he demonstrated a remarkable ability to craft and create. After graduating from Roosevelt High School, Paul pursued a career that honed his skills as a carpenter and welder. His hands, always steady and sure, built not only structures but also lasting bonds with those he encountered in his professional life.
A man of faith, Paul was a devoted Christian whose life was a testament to love, service, and family. He was a cherished member of his community, known not only for his work but also for his unwavering integrity and compassion. His faith was a guiding light throughout his life, offering strength and solace in his final days.
Paul was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary Vaughn, whose partnership he cherished deeply throughout their marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter. Their legacy continues through their son, Russel Vaughn, and daughter-in-law, Carol Vaughn, who carry forward the values instilled in them by Paul and Mary.
In addition to his son and daughter-in-law, Paul leaves behind two adored grandchildren. His dedication to his family was profound, as he spent countless hours sharing his love of fishing, cooking, and storytelling with them. A funeral service to honor and celebrate Paul's life will be held on July 5, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of the Light, located at 1620 W. Belmont Ave, Fresno, CA 93728. Family and friends are invited to come together to remember a life well-lived and to say their farewells to a remarkable man who touched so many lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Paul's memory to a cancer research charity of your choice, to continue the fight against the disease he bravely faced.
