Paul Joseph Ouellette

Paul Joseph Ouellette, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2026, at the age of 82, due to an infection on the heart valve. Born on October 15, 1944, in Detroit, Michigan, Paul was the cherished son of the late Clifford Paul and Mary Evelyn (Fournier) Ouellette. Paul's life was marked by a profound love and dedication to his family. On October 17, 1964, he married the love of his life, Mary Frances Collins, and together they embarked on a journey filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Their 62 years of marriage were a testament to their unwavering commitment and joy in raising their family. Paul was a devoted father to his children: Maryann (Robert Yambrick) Ouellette, Joseph Ouellette, Deborah (Jerry) Barrett, and Timothy (Danita) Ouellette. His legacy lives on through his eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, who were a constant source of pride and joy for him. Professionally, Paul dedicated over 50 years of his life as an electrician with Local 58. He later transitioned to working for the city of Westland, before retiring to his cherished retreat in Roscommon. Known for his expertise, Paul was always willing to lend a helping hand, especially when it came to wiring projects. His big smile and endearing "yep okay" were hallmarks of his generous spirit. Paul's hobbies were as diverse as they were passionate. He found joy in fishing, hunting, bowling, and skeet shooting. A keen euchre player and member of a tractor club, he also relished his trips to the casino, particularly enjoying a good game of blackjack. Even in quieter moments, Paul loved sharing stories of his racing years or sitting down to watch game shows with his wife. He was a man of ceaseless energy, always on the move, and yet he made time for everyone and everything he loved. Paul's warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Paul and Mary Evelyn Ouellette; his daughter, Theresa M. Ouellette; his great granddaughter, Gabrielle R. Barrett, Daughter-In-Law Jennifer Ouellette and his brother, Charles Ouellette. He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary, his loving children Maryann, Joseph, Deborah, Timothy and his siblings, Marie Elaine Ouellette , Timothy Denis(Janice) Ouellette , Helena Nadeen Ouellette , Michael Anthony (Debra)Ouellette , Francis Maurice(Lynne)Ouellette and Sister-In-Law Margarett Ouellette . A Memorial Mass to honor Paul's life will be held on November 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s ,1851 East Commerce St. Milford Michigan 48381 Family and friends are invited to celebrate and remember the life of a truly remarkable man. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Paul's memory to a charity of your choice. His legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
