Paul Gauthier

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Gauthier, who peacefully departed this world on August 17, 2026, after a brief battle with cancer. Born on August 7, 1944, in Weeden, Quebec, Paul was a beacon of strength and compassion, whose remarkable journey touched the lives of many. Paul was the beloved son of Ludger and Laurette Gauthier, who predeceased him, alongside his brother, Renaud Gauthier, grandsons Trevor and Michael Berthiaume, and nephew Scottie Gauthier. He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage spanning 53 years, having wed on April 6, 1985. Together, they raised a loving family. Paul's legacy continues through his children: Michael (Joanna), Jody (Scott), Brian (Darcy), and Corey. He was a cherished grandfather to Zachary (Brooke), Taylor (Jamie), Joseph, Brittney (Gage), and Eric, and a proud great-grandfather to 15 great-grandchildren. His sister Ramona (Doug) and brother David (Angie). His sister-in-law, Sue Gauthier, along with many nieces, nephews, and close friends, also hold dear the memories shared with him. A man of service, Paul dedicated himself to his country, serving in the Army National Guards from 1965 to 1971. Professionally, he was a dedicated supervisor at Northeast Tool in Lyndonville, VT, before transferring to Bosch in North Carolina, where he worked diligently until his retirement in 2008 after more than 30 years of dedicated service. In his retirement, Paul and Linda moved to Haines City, FL, where they enjoyed the warmth and community they found there. Paul had a passion for golf, both playing and watching, and cherished the moments spent fishing and hunting, especially those shared with his children. Camping trips with family and friends created countless cherished memories that will endure in the hearts of those who loved him. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at Vivo Empath Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion during this difficult time. Their respect and dedication to Paul and his family were deeply appreciated. And a special thank you to his nephew Dion for all his help. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, in memory of Paul’s service and commitment to his fellow veterans. Paul Gauthier's life was a testament to kindness, love, and resilience. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
