May 16, 1945 — August 1, 2026

It is with heartfelt sorrow and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Paul Edward Bell Sr., who departed this life on August 1, 2026. Born on May 16, 1945, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, Paul was a cherished son of the late Norman Bell and Consovella Jones Bell. Paul's journey through life was marked by his boundless love and infectious joy, qualities that endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. A devoted family man, Paul shared his laughter and love without limits. He was a constant source of strength and warmth to those around him, always ready with a kind word or a listening ear. He is fondly remembered by his surviving sibling, Priscilla Manning, and his beloved children, Paul Bell Jr. and Demetrius Morrison. Paul's legacy of love continues through his grandchildren, Latisha Bell, Maliaka Bell, Zion Edward Bell Hankerson, Melany Bryson, and Demetrius Wayne Morrison Jr., as well as his 11 great-grandchildren. A host of nieces and nephews to his numerus bonus kids and grandchildren he accumulated throughout the years all of whom brought immense joy to his life. Paul was predeceased by his parents, Norman and Consovella Bell, as well as his siblings, Nellie Bell, Ronnie Bell, Janice Brown, Gladys Guillory, and Joe Bell. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved them. In his leisure time, Paul enjoyed the strategic challenging game of chess with his brother Cooper. He also relished the "occasional" game of pool with all his pool hall brothers. These hobbies reflected his thoughtful and competitive spirit, as well as his appreciation for both quiet reflection and lively interaction. A service to celebrate Paul's life will be held on August 8, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Deliverance Evangelistic Temple, located at 120 Country Club Rd. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Paul are invited to gather in remembrance of a truly remarkable man. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice in honor of Paul Edward Bell Sr., as a way to continue his legacy of love and kindness. Paul's presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered, as his spirit lives on in the countless lives he touched.
