Paul was a devoted husband to Aletta" "Chrissy," with whom he shared an extraordinary journey of 40 years. They first crossed paths in Nymegen, Holland, and from the moment they exchanged vows on July 4, 1988, they embarked on a life rich with travel, laughter, and unwavering love. Together, they explored new places, cultivated cherished memories, and nurtured a life filled with joy and companionship.
After graduating high school in Richford, Vermont, Paul answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the Navy. His seven years of dedicated service were marked by camaraderie and honor, creating bonds that lasted a lifetime. Following his honorable discharge, Paul sought spiritual enrichment, spending several months at a monastery where he deepened his understanding of life’s greater truths.
Paul’s professional journey included over a decade of service at Publix grocery store, where he worked diligently in the dairy department. After retiring, he indulged his passions for woodworking and automobiles. His hands crafted beauty from wood, while his mechanical skills brought life back to cherished vehicles. Paul’s love for the outdoors was evident in the meticulous way he cared for his garden, his camping adventures, and the gentle care of his beloved chickens.
Known for his boundless generosity and kindness, Paul was always ready to lend a helping hand. His warmth and good humor endeared him to his former Navy buddies and the many friends he made throughout his life. In his quieter moments, Paul found immense joy in ensuring the happiness of his dear "Chrissy," a testament to his selfless and caring nature.
Paul leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, cherished deeply by his beloved wife Chrissy, his family and friends take solace in the memories of a life lived with integrity, laughter, and love. In their hearts, Paul remains a guiding light – "Loved you then, love you still; always have and always will."
