Patti J. DeStarkey

December 22, 1945 — August 25, 2026

Patti J. DeStarkey, a cherished soul who touched the lives of many, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly at St. Mary's Hospital. Born on December 22, 1945, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Patti was a beacon of love and care throughout her life. Daughter of Gerald Westott and Ruby Peters (Wescott), Patti grew up with a heart full of compassion and a spirit ready to nurture. She attended college to earn her CNA license, dedicating herself to the honorable profession of caregiving. Patti's work as a Certified Nursing Assistant was not just a career but a calling, where she provided comfort and care to those in need, helping them transition with dignity and kindness. Patti's heart was also firmly rooted in her family. She shared a deep and enduring love with her husband, Pete DeStarkey. Together, they built not just log homes, but a life rich with memories in Wyoming, where they spent 31 loving years raising their family. Patti's love was a constant, given freely and without condition, a testament to the strength of her character. A mother to Michelle (Doug) Vanderwalker, Thomas Williquette, and Rochelle Costello, Patti's nurturing nature extended to her nine grandchildren: James Douglas, Cody Douglas, Taelor Elmore, Joe Little, Brad Little, Brittney Little, Laura Vanderwalker, and Jacob Vanderwalker, as well as three great-grandchildren. Her sister and brother, Topper (Diane) Westcott and Debbie (Doug) Vanderwalker, also carry forward her legacy of love and warmth. Patti found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved to crochet, creating beautiful pieces that warmed both body and soul, and her garden was a testament to her love for life, where flowers bloomed under her tender care. Her family fondly remembers her as a woman who loved deeply and was deeply loved in return. A special message from her family echoes her enduring spirit: "Mom always said, 'Remember I love you very very much!'" A celebration of Patti's life will be held on September 19, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home, located at 1145 Cardinal Lane, Green Bay, WI 54313. Friends and family are invited to honor her memory and share in the love she so generously gave. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a charity of your choice, in keeping with Patti's spirit of giving and compassion. Patti J. DeStarkey's memory will forever be a guiding light for those who knew and loved her, a testament to a life well-lived and a heart well-loved.
