December 5, 1949 — June 26, 2026
Patrick Dan Eavenson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on June 26, 2026, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. Born on December 5, 1949, in Stockton, California, Patrick lived a life full of adventure, dedication, and love.
Patrick was the cherished son of Clarence Dan Eavenson and Virginia Kizel Holt Eavenson. His parents, along with his brothers Dave, Charles, Bill, and John, and his sister Barbara, predeceased him. He is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Patricia, whom he married on March 10, 1990. Together, they shared a life rich with travel and adventure, creating memories that will be cherished by their family for generations.
Patrick was a proud and loving father to his daughters Kara Blankenship (Derek) and Melinda Patrick (Ian). His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Dillon Blankenship (Torri), Taylor Blankenship, Everett Patrick, Lela Patrick, and Elsie Patrick, who brought endless joy to his life. He also leaves behind his dear sister, Sue Rogers (Rocky), Sisters-in-law, Beverly, Wanda, Susan and Karin and a close-knit group of friends who were like family, Tom and Arlene Guy, Dan and JoAnn Edward, Ron and Georgia Dale, and Mike Campbell.
Patrick's professional journey began at Grider Electric in Stockton, California, during the early 70s. His passion and dedication to his craft led him to earn his Electrical License and work for Eavenson Construction and Eavenson Electric until 2000. His work was more than just a career; it was a testament to his perseverance and commitment.
Outside of work, Patrick was an avid water skier and diver, finding joy and tranquility on the water. He cherished the annual family vacations to Lake Tahoe, where he could often be found golfing daily with "the boys" and enjoying a few beers. His love for travel took him and his family on unforgettable journeys across Europe and the Amazon, enriching their lives with diverse experiences and stories. And don't forget Monday Morning Coffee with the family, an event he rarely missed.
Patrick's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and friendship. His kind heart, adventurous spirit, and unwavering dedication to those he loved will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He could be found any day of the week helping a friend of neighbor with their electrical problems.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Patrick's memory to a charity of your choice. His family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered their support and condolences during this difficult time.
