Patrick Crego

January 12, 1957 — March 21, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Patrick Crego, a beloved father, devoted son, cherished brother, and treasured friend. Patrick departed this world peacefully on March 21, 2026, at the age of 69. Throughout his life, he was a beacon of love, creativity, and resilience to all who knew him. Born on January 12, 1957, to Paul and Rose Marie Crego, Patrick grew up in a household filled with warmth and togetherness. His father, Paul, and brothers Rod, Paul II, and David were his early role models, instilling in him the values of loyalty, courage, and kindness. Though they have since passed, their spirits undoubtedly welcomed Patrick into the next life, reuniting their cherished bond. Patrick was a proud graduate of Orr High School, Class of 1975, where he cultivated friendships and a love for learning that lasted a lifetime. After high school, he answered the call to serve his country, joining the Army with a steadfast commitment to protect and honor the nation he held dear. Those who knew Patrick were invariably touched by his musical talent. An amazing guitar player, he could bring any room to life with the strum of his strings, creating melodies that resonated with joy and emotion. His music was not just a hobby but a way of connecting with the world around him, sharing his heart through every note. Beyond music, Patrick found solace and inspiration in the great outdoors. Whether hiking through verdant trails or simply enjoying the serenity of nature, he embraced the beauty of the world with gratitude and awe. It was in these moments that he felt most connected to the universe and to those he loved. Patrick's legacy is carried forward by his beloved mother, Rose Marie Musakka, who was his lifelong confidante and champion. He leaves behind his dear brother Dole (Karen) Crego, who walked beside him through every trial and triumph. Patrick was the proud father of daughters Nicole, Angelique, and Devin Crego, whom he adored beyond measure. His love extended to his special nephews, Dole Jr. and Paul III, and his great-nephews, Bentley and Dylan, who brought him endless joy. Patrick's spirit will also live on through his numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, each a testament to his enduring influence and affection. Patrick was predeceased by his cherished son, Ricky, whose memory he carried lovingly in his heart until his last breath. The bond they shared was unbreakable, transcending time and space. In celebrating Patrick's life, we remember a man who gave of himself fully and freely. His laughter, wisdom, and unwavering support were gifts to everyone fortunate enough to know him. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will echo in the music he loved, the natural beauty he cherished, and the countless lives he touched. A service to honor Patrick Crego will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to pay tribute to a remarkable man who lived a life of love, service, and song. May his soul find peace in the eternal embrace of those who have gone before him, and may his memory be a blessing to us all.
