Patricia Terez Menninger

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Patricia Terez Menninger, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, on February 2, 2026, just two days shy of her 82nd birthday. Born on February 4, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, Patricia departed this world peacefully in her sleep after a courageous and dignified battle with breast cancer. Patricia was the cherished daughter of the late William and Gabrielle Mott. Her early years in Chicago were filled with love, laughter, and the company of her sister, the late Gabrielle (Gay) Sliwinski. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Tony Sliwinski, and her beloved nieces, Donna and Anette Sliwinski, as well as her mother-in-law, Claire Menninger, whom she held dear. Throughout her life, Patricia was the cornerstone of her family, providing unwavering love and support. She leaves behind her devoted husband, George Menninger, who was her partner and confidant for many wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with love, warmth, and cherished memories. Patricia was a loving and nurturing mother to her three children: Lisa Menninger and her husband, Christopher; Erin Klemm and her husband, Kurt; and George Menninger. Her children were her pride and joy, and she delighted in their achievements and happiness. Patricia's legacy continues through her six adored grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy and light into her life. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her family, as she touched the hearts of all who knew her. Patricia had a gift for making others feel special and valued, and her kindness and compassion knew no bounds. Her friends and family will forever remember her infectious laughter, gentle strength, and unwavering faith. Patricia's life will be celebrated on June 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Padre Pio Parish, located at 5614 N Fairfield Ave, Chicago, IL 60659. Family, friends, and all whose lives Patricia touched are invited to join in honoring her remarkable life and the profound impact she had on those around her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Patricia's memory to breast cancer research, a cause she held close to her heart. Patricia Terez Menninger's legacy of love, strength, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Though she is no longer with us, the memories and love she shared will continue to inspire and guide her family and friends. May she rest in eternal peace.
