Patricia Sullinger Steadman
August 2, 1935 — February 21, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Patricia Sullinger Steadman on February 21, 2026, at her cherished home, surrounded by her loving daughters, Jennifer and Pam. Patricia was born on August 2, 1935, in the sunny enclave of Coral Gables, Florida, to her devoted parents, Virginia and Ferris Sullinger. Her journey of 90 beautiful years was marked by love, strength, and unwavering grace.
Patricia was a beacon of compassion and wisdom, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate to know her. Her early years were spent in Coral Gables, where she graduated from high school, paving the way for her academic pursuits at the University of Michigan. There, she earned a Bachelor's degree and cultivated a lifelong love for learning and discovery.
On February 20, 1960, Patricia married the love of her life, Frank McNaulty Steadman. Together, they built a life filled with joy, adventure, and shared dreams. Their union was a testament to enduring love and mutual respect, a partnership that was tragically shortened with Frank's passing, but remained a guiding light in Patricia's heart.
Patricia's greatest pride and joy were her three daughters—Sarah Lynn Steadman, Pamela Jean Steadman, and Jennifer Clair Steadman. She embraced motherhood with an unwavering dedication, nurturing her children with boundless love and support, instilling in them the values of kindness, resilience, and compassion.
Though Patricia did not have grandchildren, her legacy is carried forward by her daughters, whose lives are a reflection of her gentle spirit and enduring strength. Her home was a sanctuary filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting presence of family and friends.
Patricia's life was a tapestry of cherished memories and meaningful contributions. She was a woman of quiet dignity and profound empathy, who touched the lives of those around her with her genuine kindness and thoughtful counsel. Her community involvement, whether through volunteer work or informal gatherings, was marked by her commitment to making the world a better place.
As we celebrate Patricia's remarkable life, we are reminded of her love for the simple pleasures—her morning walks, the pages of a good book, and the serenity of her well-tended garden. She found beauty in every day and inspired those around her to do the same.
In remembering Patricia, we honor a life that was rich in love, laughter, and purpose. She leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and an enduring impact on all who were privileged to know her.
A private memorial service will be held in her honor, where family and close friends will gather to celebrate her life and bid her a heartfelt farewell. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Patricia's name to a charity of one's choice, continuing her legacy of generosity and compassion.
Patricia Sullinger Steadman will be remembered always for her gentle heart, her unwavering faith, and the beautiful life she lived. May she rest in eternal peace, forever in our hearts.
