Patricia Slavych

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Slavych, born on October 8, 1963, in Savannah, Tennessee. Patricia departed this world peacefully in her sleep on September 11, 2026, at Baylor Scott & White, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, resilience, and a profound love for family. Patricia was predeceased by her beloved parents, Kenneth and Geneva, and her dear siblings, Dennis and Shelia. She is survived by her son Cody, daughter Tricia, daughter-in-law Stephanie, and cherished grandsons Oliver, Ciel, and Ace. Patricia also leaves behind her brother Kenneth, sister Rosie, and devoted partner Alvin, all of whom will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. A proud graduate of Tarkington High School, Patricia dedicated over 40 years of her life to the newspaper industry, culminating her career at Granite Media as a graphic artist. Her work was not just a job, but a testament to her commitment and love for advertising and design. Outside of her professional life, Patricia's passions were as diverse as they were vibrant. She adored cows and spent countless hours building puzzles, an activity that reflected her patience and meticulous nature. Patricia was an avid reader, with a particular fondness for the works of Stephen King, and she delighted in watching crime and horror movies and TV shows. Her greatest joy, however, was found in the laughter and play of her grandsons, with whom she loved to spend her time. Patricia was known for her stubborn and hard-headed nature, traits that were always balanced with a love for jokes and a ready smile. Her tenacity and humor left an indelible mark on all who knew her. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate nurses at Baylor Scott & White who provided exceptional care to Patricia in her final moments. Their kindness and consideration brought comfort to Patricia and her loved ones during a difficult time. A Celebration of Life to honor Patricia's life will be held on September 14, 2026, at 11:00. Patricia Slavych will be deeply missed, but her spirit and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
