With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Patricia Noah, a beloved mother, daughter, and friend, who was taken from us far too soon on April 15, 1994, at the age of 29. Born on September 24, 1964, in the vibrant land of South Africa, Patricia's life was a testament to resilience, courage, and unwavering love. Patricia was the cherished daughter of Jane and Tom, who have predeceased her and whom she now joins in eternal rest. Her journey was one of profound strength and independence, characteristics that she passed down to her surviving son, Trevor Noah. As a devoted mother, Patricia instilled in Trevor the values of fearlessness and independence, traits that he carries forward with pride. Educated at a private Catholic school, Patricia was a pioneer in her own right. Despite the societal constraints of apartheid, she pursued training as a secretary, a role largely inaccessible to black women at the time. Her determination and ambition were not only a testament to her character but also a beacon of hope for those around her. Patricia's life was deeply rooted in her community and faith. An active member of the First Baptist Church, she found solace and strength in her spiritual community, sharing her warmth and compassion with all who knew her. Her time spent working on the family farm in the Xhosa homeland was marked by perseverance and an unyielding spirit, even in the face of adversity. In memory of her vibrant life, a service will be held on May 16, 2026, at 9:18 AM at St. Mary's Church, located at 123 Main Street. Family, friends, and all whose lives she touched are invited to gather and celebrate Patricia's enduring legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association, a cause close to Patricia's heart. This gesture will not only honor her memory but also contribute to the betterment of others, just as Patricia did throughout her life. Her family shares this special message: "Forever in our hearts." Patricia Noah's indomitable spirit and loving nature will be forever cherished by those who knew her. Though her life was tragically cut short, the impact she made on the world and the love she gave remains eternal.
