Born on August 14, 1946, Patricia was the beloved daughter of James and Edna McCarty. She was raised in a nurturing household where the values of compassion and community were instilled from a young age. Patricia was predeceased by her loving parents and her dear cousins, Charlotte and Jack McCarty, with whom she shared many cherished memories. Patricia's journey of learning and dedication began at Leeds High School, where she graduated in 1956, and continued at the University of North Dakota. There, she pursued her passion for helping others, earning a degree that led her to a fulfilling career as a Speech Pathologist. Patricia devoted her professional life to the care of children, making a profound difference in the lives of countless young ones and their families. Her gentle spirit and unwavering patience touched everyone she worked with, leaving a lasting impact that will be remembered always. A woman of deep faith, Patricia was an active member of St. Olaf Catholic Church in Minneapolis, MN. Her commitment to her faith and community was evident in every aspect of her life, and she found great joy in serving others. Patricia's life was a testament to the power of service and the importance of giving back to the community. Patricia is survived by her loving cousins Joanne McCarty, Elizabeth (Daniel) Olsgaard, Ashley (Brock) Garaas, and their children, Emmit, Kyra, and Oaklyn Garaas. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Patricia's warmth, wisdom, and laughter will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. In memory of Patricia's generous spirit, donations may be made to St. Vincent De Paul Cemetery in Leeds, ND, where her life will be celebrated and remembered in perpetuity.
