Born on July 28, 1944 in a cabin built by her Dad and Grandfather on the shore of Lake 26. Delivered by her Grandmother Annie Schaaf and Aunt Ula Schaaf Bostrom. Patti was a cherished daughter of the late George and Florence Schaaf. Her life was a vibrant tapestry woven with love, laughter, and a deep connection to her family and the natural world around her.
Growing up on the picturesque shores of Lake 26, Patti developed a lifelong love for the outdoors. She spent her early years swimming, fishing, and deer hunting in the fall with her siblings. Her childhood memories were filled with adventures alongside her beloved brothers and sisters, which shaped her into the spirited and loving woman she became.
Patti was a woman of remarkable resilience and work ethic. She held various jobs throughout her life, always finding a way to contribute even during challenging times. Her career spanned several local establishments, including the Webb Lake Cabaret and Fish Bowl Bar, and culminated in her role as a cook at Luther Park Camp on Lake 26. Here, she shared not only her culinary talents but also her warmth and humor, leaving a lasting imprint on everyone she encountered.

Known for her phenomenal culinary skills, she took immense joy in preparing holiday dinners for her family, ensuring there was always a place at her table for anyone who needed it. Her kitchen was a haven of delicious aromas and heartfelt laughter, a testament to her generous spirit.
Patti possessed a special laugh and a keen sense of humor, qualities that endeared her to all who knew her. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and she found immense joy in her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
