Patricia Martin

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Martin, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Patricia departed this life on July 15, 2026, at the age of 56, surrounded by the love and warmth of her family. She was born on July 12, 1970, in Foley, Alabama, to the late Lorine Golden Smith and James Smith. Patricia was a woman of remarkable strength and unwavering kindness, whose presence brought joy and comfort to all who knew her. Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and devotion to family. Patricia was predeceased by her parents, her sister Sue Ellen Golden Stallworth, beloved grandparents, and her cherished husband, Charles Martin. Her spirit now joins theirs, together in eternal peace. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her four devoted children: Mark Smith, Charles Martin Jr., Clolietta Simmons, and Zena Martin, who carry forward her indomitable spirit and compassionate heart. Patricia's life was further enriched by her seven grandchildren: Ariana, Leejaun, Dontrell, Dontavious, Camellia, Amir Simmons, and Malaysia Martin, who brought immense joy to her days and whom she adored dearly. Patricia is also survived by her seven loving sisters: Debra (Gerald) Wiseman, Lisa (Joseph) Primm, Brenda Smith, Valerie Smith, Mary Lorine (Alvin) Richardson, Mary Jane (Jason) Miller, and Shirley (Albert) Nichols; and her four devoted brothers: William Smith, Willie (Desseri) Smith, Sammie (Alyssa) Smith, and Harold Smith. She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family, all of whom were touched by her generosity and warmth. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Patricia's family will forever cherish the memories they created with her, and her spirit will continue to live on in the laughter and love they share. A celebration of Patricia's life will be held on July 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church, located at 323 W Michigan Ave, Foley, AL, 36535. The family invites all who knew Patricia to join them in honoring her memory and celebrating the beautiful life she lived. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Patricia's memory to a charity of your choice, as a way to honor her compassionate and giving nature. The Smith/Martin family extends their deepest appreciation to everyone for their prayers, calls, and support during this time of bereavement.
