In Loving Memory

Patricia L. Carr Carson
November 29, 1950 — October 25, 2026
In loving memory of Patricia L. Carr Carson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Patricia, known affectionately as Pat, was born in Covington, Kentucky, on November 29, 1950, to John A. Carr and Frances E. Browning Carr. She peacefully departed this life on October 25, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will endure through the many lives she touched.
Patricia's early years were marked by a deep-rooted sense of family and community. She grew up with her siblings, Jo Ann Carr Fries and John A. Carr Jr., who preceded her to the great beyond with our Lord, in a close-knit family environment. She attended Anderson High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she met the love of her life, Charles B. Carson, in the 8th grade. Their love story blossomed, culminating in a beautiful marriage on April 7, 1973, at St. Jerome Catholic Church in California, Ohio. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, raising their two cherished sons, Brian T. Carson (River) and Keith A. Carson, in Cincinnati before relocating to a farm in White Mills, Kentucky, in 1991.
Patricia's career journey was as varied as it was fulfilling. She began her professional life at Cincinnati Bell Telephone Co. as a typist and shorthand secretary. Her nurturing spirit later led her to work as a nurse's aide in a nursing home, and later as a teacher's assistant in a nursery school. After moving to White Mills, she served her community at the 4 Corners grocery, as a cook at Kensington Nursing Home, and as a cook and pastry chef at Allegro Assisted Living Facility. Her professional endeavors were always underscored by her dedication to caring for others.
An active member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Patricia’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. Her family was her greatest joy, and she poured her heart into nurturing and supporting them. She was a devoted grandmother to her eight grandchildren: Kylie L. Carson (Zachary) Anderson, Ayden C. Carson, Hailey Oster, Tala R. Carson, Gideon T. Carson, Lilybelle V. Carson, Leonidas R. Carson, and the late Jack Logan Carson. Patricia's heart was indeed "bigger than a school bus," as those who knew her would often say. Her love for her family and friends was boundless, and her fierce spirit was both inspiring and comforting.
Patricia's talents extended beyond her professional life. She was an avid crafter, known for her remarkable skills in woodworking and crocheting. Her creations, from dinosaurs and bees to 30-inch giraffes, brought joy to family members, friends, and countless children. Her generosity knew no bounds, as she donated many of her crocheted animals to the Hardin County Sheriff's Department officers and other nonprofit organizations, offering comfort to abused and orphaned children.
Patricia is survived by her adoring husband, Charles, her sons Brian (River) and Keith, her grandchildren, a niece & nephew, Amy L. & Roger (Kathy) Fries, a nephew, Timothy J. (Christy) Carr, Cousin Sheryl A. Overman, and her dearest friends Ervin and Violet Stith, and David and Gina Sims. She was predeceased by her parents, siblings, and grandson Jack Logan Carson.
In honor of Patricia's compassionate spirit, the family requests that donations be made to Spring Haven and Baptist Health Domestic Violence Help. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the UC Health Hospital staff in the UC Medical Hospital MICU and M Step Down units for their exceptional care and support.
A 10 a.m. memorial Mass will be held at the St. Ignatius Catholic Church in White Mills, KY, on November 15th. The family invites relatives and friends to join them for a meal in the hall and pavilion afterwards.
Patricia L. Carr Carson will be remembered for her kind heart, her unyielding love for her family, and her unwavering spirit. Her legacy of kindness and love will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace.
