In Loving Memory

Patricia Grafft
November 22, 1941 — July 6, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Grafft, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who departed this world on July 6, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on November 22, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, Patricia was the cherished daughter of Clarence and Lula Dame, who predeceased her, along with her sister, Linda Hatcher, and brother, Paul Dame.
Patricia was a vibrant soul whose love for life was infectious. She held a special place in her heart for her family, especially her grandchildren, whose sports games she attended with great enthusiasm. Whether it was basketball or football, Patricia was always there, cheering from the stands, embodying the spirit of a dedicated and loving grandmother. Her presence will forever be missed by her daughter, Renay Grant of Madisonville, and her son, Matthew Grafft, who carry forward her legacy of love.
A woman of many passions, Patricia adored dancing and found immense joy in watching "Dirty Dancing" countless times. Her love for the rhythm and movement was matched only by her passion for writing poetry. Patricia had a unique talent for crafting poems that touched the hearts of everyone she met. Her words were a gift, bringing comfort and joy to all who had the privilege of reading them.
Patricia found solace in the simple pleasures of life. She loved the sound of a rumbling Mustang, the feel of the earth as she mowed and tended to her garden, and the beauty of nature blooming around her. These were the moments that brought her peace and happiness.
In addition to her immediate family, Patricia leaves behind three cherished grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her legacy lives on in them, as well as in the countless memories she created with those she loved.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Katie, Faith, and Sydney from 3W, whose kindness and care will forever be remembered. A special thank you also goes to Alexia from the ICU, whose smile and warmth brought comfort to Patricia and her family during difficult times. Your compassion will never be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Patricia's memory, as a tribute to the generous and caring spirit she embodied throughout her life.
As we celebrate Patricia's life, we remember her as a beacon of love and joy. Her spirit will continue to dance in our hearts, and her words will echo through the poems she leaves behind. May she rest in peace, forever surrounded by the love she so freely gave.
