Patricia Fenner
September 15, 1954 — August 12, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound respect that we announce the passing of Patricia Fenner, affectionately known as Pat, who departed this life on August 12, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on September 15, 1954, in Chicago, IL, Pat lived a life full of love, dedication, and resilience. Her journey, though marked by the challenges of stage four cancer, was a testament to her strength and unwavering spirit.
Patricia was the cherished daughter of the late Joel Fenner and Ella Mae Parker. Predeceased by her parents, her brothers Johnell Fenner, Samuel Parker, Larry Jordan, and her nephew Charles Fenner, she is now reunited with them in eternal peace.
Pat leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold her memory dear. She is survived by her devoted husband of 30 years, Alton Jordan. Together, they built a life of happiness and laughter, raising their son Gerald Fenner. Gerald and his wife Lenora blessed Patricia with grandchildren Jeremiah, Brianna, Isaiah, Elijah, Gerald Jr., and bonus grandchildren Jashawn and Ja'vae, who brought immense joy to her life.
Patricia's educational journey saw her graduate from Flowers High School, followed by studies at Malcolm X College and Loyola University. Her career was as vibrant as she was, beginning as a talented hairdresser and highly regarded for her sewing skills. Patricia also dedicated her heart to teaching at Henson Elementary School, where she inspired countless young minds.
A woman of faith, Patricia was an active member of Holy Family Missionary Baptist Church, later joining Holy Temple Missionary Baptist Church, and finally New Mount Helen under the guidance of Reverend R.L. Jackson. Her church communities were central to her life, providing fellowship and support throughout the years.
Patricia's hobbies reflected her love for family and creativity. She enjoyed word search puzzles, sewing, baking, and cooking, often sharing these passions with her loved ones. Her grandchildren were a significant part of her life, and she treasured the times spent taking them on adventures, like trips to the zoo.
Patricia's presence was one that left a lasting impression. Whether through her cooking or her unique personality, she was loved deeply by those who knew her. Her brothers Cornell and Livi (Olliephine), sister Christian, brother-in-law Carl, sisters-in-law Patricia and Elizabeth, nephews Livi (Robin), Tashaun, Trayshau, nieces Kizzie, Mildred, Ayesha, Lashaunda, and cherished friends Zenitha (Poochie) and Mary (Maylee) will hold her memory close, along with her extended family and friends.
