Patricia Davis

March 11, 1943 — March 24, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Davis, a cherished soul who graced this world on March 11, 1943, in Elmira, NY. Patricia departed this earthly realm on March 24, 2026, at the age of 83, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness. Born to Otis and Marian French, Patricia was a bright and ambitious child who excelled academically, graduating from Elmira Free Academy with the distinction of being part of the Honor Society. Her zest for life and commitment to excellence were evident in every endeavor she pursued, including her dedicated career at Sears Roebuck, where she worked diligently until her retirement. In 1976, Patricia's life took a beautiful turn when she married the love of her life, William "Bill" Davis, on May 29th. Together, they built a life rich in love and adventure. Their cherished travels in their RV allowed them to explore the wonders of the world, creating memories that would last a lifetime. Though Bill preceded her in death, their love story remains a testament to enduring devotion. Patricia's heart was a wellspring of warmth and generosity. A devoted member of the New Beginnings Church and an active participant in the local Food Bank, she dedicated her time and energy to helping those in need, embodying the true spirit of community service. Her faith and compassion were guiding lights for all who knew her. Patricia's greatest joy was her family. She was a beloved mother to her three children, Dina (Dave) Watts, Danelle (Lindsay) Hakes, and Richard Knapp, who were her pride and joy. Her legacy lives on through her four grandchildren, who brought immense happiness to her life. With a sweet tooth that matched her sweet nature, Patricia had a remarkable ability to bring people together. She cherished family gatherings, where laughter, music, and dancing filled the air. Her love for Elvis, crossword puzzles, ladybugs, and birds were just a few of the passions that colored her vibrant life. Her journals, filled with her thoughts and reflections, serve as a testament to her introspective nature and love for writing. Patricia's gentle spirit, enduring patience, and unwavering love touched the lives of many. Her kindness and grace will forever be remembered by those fortunate enough to have known her. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Bill Davis, her parents, Otis and Marian French, and her dear friend, Shelia Collins. A celebration of Patricia's life will be held on May 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM at New Beginnings Church, located at 300 E. Miller St. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us in honoring her remarkable life and legacy. As we say goodbye to a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, let us carry forward Patricia's spirit of warmth, compassion, and love. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts, a beacon of love and light that will never fade.
