Patricia Davis
March 11, 1943 — March 24, 2026
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Patricia Davis, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Patricia left this world gently from her home on March 24, 2026, after a courageous battle with dementia. She was 83 years old.
Born on March 11, 1943, in the charming town of Elmira, NY, Patricia was the cherished daughter of Ots and Marian French. She spent her formative years enveloped in the warmth of a loving family, alongside her siblings, whose bonds remained unbreakable throughout her life.
Patricia was a woman of remarkable strength and unwavering kindness. After excelling in her studies and being a proud member of the honor society, she graduated from eFax. Her career began at Sears, where she dedicated many years before retiring. However, her zest for life and love of people led her to a fulfilling second career at Kohl's. Patricia's professional endeavors were marked by her dedication and a genuine desire to connect with those she served.
On May 29, 1976, Patricia married the love of her life, Bill Davis. Their union was a testament to true partnership, filled with laughter, adventure, and a shared love for music, especially the timeless tunes of Elvis. Together, they created a nurturing home for their family, which grew to include their beloved children: daughters Dina and Danelle, and son Richard Knapp. Patricia's legacy continues through her four cherished grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.
A woman of deep faith, Patricia was an active member of the New Beginnings Church, where she found community and purpose. Her involvement with the church's food bank was a testament to her generous spirit and commitment to helping others. Patricia's kindness extended beyond her community service; she was known for her love of walking, solving crosswords, and her talent for cross-stitching. Her home was a reflection of her passions, adorned with ladybugs and filled with the sweet sounds of her piano playing.
Those who knew Patricia will remember her as a vibrant soul who always sought to accomplish something meaningful. Her sweet tooth was as legendary as her sweet nature, and she cherished every moment spent with family and friends. Patricia's life was a tapestry of love, joy, and resilience, woven with threads of laughter and the occasional Elvis song.
Patricia was predeceased by her devoted husband, Bill Davis, and her best friend, Sheila Collins. Her family takes solace in knowing that she is now reunited with them in eternal peace. As per Patricia's wishes, her ashes will be laid to rest alongside Bill's, a testament to their enduring love.
A celebration of Patricia's life will be held on May 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at the New Beginnings Church. Family and friends are invited to gather in her honor, to share stories, and to celebrate the remarkable life of a woman who touched so many hearts.
Patricia Davis leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and resilience. Her memory will forever be cherished by those who knew her, and her spirit will continue to inspire us all.
