Patricia C. Capron, a cherished and vibrant soul, passed away peacefully at her home on September 17, 2026, after bravely battling Alzheimer's for several years. Born on November 18, 1941, in Elgin, Illinois, Patricia was the beloved daughter of Warren and Frances Patch. Throughout her life, she was known for her warm heart, loving nature, and radiant smile that brightened the lives of everyone she encountered. Patricia's early years were spent in Elgin, Illinois, before her family moved to Peacham Vermont in 1956 where she attended Peacham Academy in Peacham. Her love for adventure and zest for life led her to various avenues, including her career at Cabot Hosiery. Patricia's work was a testament to her dedication and resilience, qualities that she carried throughout her life. In 1983, Patricia married the love of her life, Gary L. Capron Sr., in a beautiful ceremony in Northfield, Vermont. Together, they shared 43 years of unwavering love and companionship, creating a lifetime of treasured memories. Patricia was a devoted mother to her children, Kenny Goslant, Darrell Goslant, Wanda LaRouche, Warrene Goslant, Gary Capron Jr., and Kevin Capron, and a cherished sister to Kaye Thresher of Florida. She also is survived by several grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, Richard and Wayne Patch, and her stepson Keith Capron, but their memories continued to live on in her heart. Patricia had a zest for life that was infectious. She found immense joy in dancing, snowmobiling, camping, and traveling, especially to her beloved camp at Coles Pond, where she and her family spent 25 joyful years. Patricia was an exceptional card player and had a knack for solving puzzles, which she approached with the same enthusiasm and determination that defined her life. Her family would like to extend a special thank you to Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Patricia's journey with Alzheimer's. In honor of Patricia's life and legacy, donations can be made to CVHHH or the Alzheimer's Association, organizations that were dear to her heart. A service to celebrate Patricia's life will be held on September 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Parish, located at 152 South Main Street, Northfield, Vermont. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor a life well lived, sharing stories and memories of a woman who touched so many hearts with her kindness and love. Following the service, there will be a gathering at The Stic Kitchen & Bar, 451 VT 12, Northfield Falls, VT, 05663. Patricia C. Capron will be remembered as a beacon of light and love, a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her, and her legacy of love and joy will live on for generations to come.
