In Loving Memory

Patricia Ann Savary
August 2, 1942 — December 9, 2025
It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for her life that we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Savary, who departed this world peacefully on December 9, 2025, at the age of 83, surrounded by her loving family at her home. Born on August 2, 1942, in Englewood, NJ, Patricia was a beacon of warmth, kindness, and joy to all who knew her.
Patricia was the cherished daughter of the late Dominic J. O'Neill and Tillie A. O'Neill (nee Mundt). She was predeceased by her dear brothers Thomas and William, William's beloved wife Janice, and her fiancé, Vincent J. "Buddy" McCormack, with whom she shared many wonderful years and countless adventures.
Patricia is survived by her devoted children: Dale Russel "Rus" Savary and his wife Barbara, Clemit Leon Savary and his partner Mary Cimillo, and Angeline Yvette Mahe and her husband Roland. Her loving family also includes her brother Robert O'Neill and his wife Kathy, brother Dennis O'Neill, and sister Kathleen O'Neill. Patricia was a proud grandmother of seven adoring grandchildren and two precious great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
In her youth, Patricia graduated from Northern Valley Regional High School, embarking on a career as a dedicated data entry clerk. She contributed over 39 years of tireless service to renowned publishing houses, including Prentice Hall, Simon Schuster, and Pearson Education, before her well-deserved retirement in 2014.
Patricia's love for animals was evident in her volunteer work with C.A.T.S. (Caring About The Strays) in Westwood, NJ, where she spent many years nurturing and caring for animals in need. Her home was a sanctuary for many adopted cats, each one finding a loving and forever home with her.
Known for her effervescent spirit and a smile that could lighten any room, Patricia had an infectious sense of humor and a quick wit that endeared her to everyone she met. She was a passionate collector of all things Elvis Presley, and her love for the King of Rock 'n' Roll was rivaled only by her love for the NJ shore, where she spent countless happy hours swimming and strolling along the boardwalk with Buddy.
Patricia's kindness and generosity knew no bounds, and she made everyone feel welcome in her presence. Her legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
A celebration of Patricia's life will be held on May 23, 2026, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Moritz Funeral Home, 348 Closter Dock Rd, Closter, NJ, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and share stories of the remarkable woman she was. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to C.A.T.S. in her memory, continuing her lifelong dedication to the welfare of animals. https://www.care4strays.org/
Though Patricia's physical presence will be dearly missed, her spirit will forever remain in the loving memories of her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, a testament to a life well-lived and a soul deeply cherished.
