Patricia Ann Galloway, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving family in her home in Ripley, Tennessee. Born on December 29, 1945, in the close-knit community of Double Bridges, Tennessee, Patricia lived a full and vibrant life dedicated to her family, her faith, and her community.
Patricia was the cherished daughter of the late Odell Hershell and Rose Mary (Webb) Potter. She grew up with a strong sense of family values and a deep-rooted love for her hometown, which she carried with her throughout her life. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Paul David Galloway, with whom she shared many beautiful years of marriage, and her siblings, Linda Carlew and Dale Potter, who she held dear in her heart.
Patricia is survived by her two loving daughters, Paula (David) Braden of Munford, TN, and Sharon (Brian) Latham of Ripley, TN. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Patricia was a proud grandmother to three grandchildren, Paul Rodenhouser, Steven Rodenhouser, and Zoe Latham, and a loving great-grandmother to five great-grandchildren, who will forever hold her memory close.
Her brother, Jim Potter of Avalon, PA, also survives her, sharing countless memories of their upbringing in Double Bridges. Patricia's life was further enriched by her extended family and her dear Aunt Shirley, with whom she loved to travel and share adventures.
Together with her husband, Patricia owned and operated the Galloway Store in Double Bridges for over a decade. The store was more than just a business; it was a gathering place where Patricia and Paul built lasting relationships with the community members. Following this, Patricia dedicated over 20 years of service at WTSP in Fort Pillow, from which she retired, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.
Patricia was a devout member of the Abundant Life Church in Ripley, TN, where she found spiritual fulfillment and a second family. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, and she cherished her church community deeply. Known for her warm spirit and generous heart, Patricia enjoyed dining out with friends, shopping, attending auctions, and spending time with her loved ones. Her infectious laughter and welcoming nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
A service to celebrate the life of Patricia Ann Galloway will be held on June 13, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Abundant Life Church, located at 2131 US 51 N., Ripley, TN 38063. Family, friends, and community members are warmly invited to join in honoring Patricia's life and legacy.
