Patricia A Mullenix

July 9, 1938 — May 26, 2026

Patricia A. Mullenix, fondly known to many as "Nana Pat," passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 26, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on July 9, 1938, in the charming town of Canan, Connecticut, Patricia lived a life filled with love, dedication, and kindness. Her gentle spirit and generous heart touched all who were fortunate enough to know her. Patricia was the cherished daughter of the late J. Kenneth Athoe and Doris Lillian Shook. She grew up surrounded by love and laughter, alongside her siblings, sister Audrey Wyman, and brothers John and Peter Athoe, who survive her and hold her memory dear. In 1961, Patricia married Edwin L. Wyman Sr., with whom she built a life and welcomed her beloved children. Though their marriage ended in 1983, Patricia found love again with her second husband, Gary Mullenix, whom she married in 1984. Both Edwin and Gary predeceased her, leaving behind warm memories of their shared lives. Patricia's legacy lives on through her children: Lee (Vickie) Wyman of Athens, AL; Donna (John) Pleasant of Port St. John, FL; Eric (Sherri) Wyman of Port St. John, FL; Susan (Andrew) Chrostowski of Port St. John, FL; and Albert (Patty) Wilson of Rockledge, FL. Her unwavering love and support were constants in their lives, and her lessons and values will continue to guide them. Her family blossomed, and she was the proud grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Patricia's home was always filled with the joyful noise of family, and her love knew no bounds. Her gentle presence will be missed dearly but remembered fondly in the countless memories she helped create. Professionally, Patricia was a dedicated employee at Wal-Mart, where she worked in the pharmacy department at both Merritt Island and Cocoa locations. Her colleagues and customers knew her as a reliable and caring presence, and many sought her out for her warmth and wisdom. Patricia was also a devoted member of the Eastern Star for over 50 years, exemplifying her commitment to community and service. Her participation in this organization was a testament to her lifelong dedication to helping others. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who have expressed their condolences and shared in the celebration of Patricia's life. A formal Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, where friends and family will gather to honor Patricia's enduring spirit and the love she shared with all. In remembering Patricia A. Mullenix, we celebrate a life well-lived, rich with love, laughter, and devotion. Her legacy is one of kindness, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to family and community. She leaves behind a world that is brighter for having known her, and she will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.
