It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Patricia A. Cobb on June 20, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on January 1, 1944, in Gary, Indiana, Patricia lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. Her journey on this earth came to a serene conclusion at her home, surrounded by the warmth and comfort of those she cherished most. Patricia was the beloved daughter of the late Amos and Lillie Cobb. Her legacy of kindness and compassion is carried forward by her surviving daughter, Yvonne Hamilton-Hudson, and her brother, Calvin Cobb. Patricia was the proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren, including Shakida Amos, Shaquille Melchor, Shaniqua (Nicki) Melchor, Shatori Hood-Collins, Heaven Hudson, and Chosen Hudson, and a great-grandmother to 8. Her family expanded through the years, each new member bringing her joy and pride. A private ceremony will be held to honor Patricia’s life, reflecting the intimate and personal connections she cherished. Though the ceremony is reserved for close family and friends, the warmth of her spirit resonates with all who were fortunate to know her. Patricia was a beacon of strength and grace, attributes she learned from her parents and shared abundantly with her family. Her laughter was infectious, her wisdom profound, and her love unconditional. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel seen and valued, a testament to her deep empathy and understanding. Though Patricia’s physical presence will be dearly missed, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she left behind. She was predeceased by her parents, Amos and Lillie Cobb, as well as her siblings Verdane Cobb, Darryl Cobb, Peggy Chambers, Joan Crockett, Amos Cobb Jr., and Elijah Wright. Patricia now joins them in eternal rest, undoubtedly embraced by their love once more. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to all who have shared their condolences and support during this time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Patricia’s memory to a charity of your choice, celebrating her dedication to helping those in need. Patricia A. Cobb will forever be remembered for her generosity, resilience, and the boundless love she held for her family.
