January 1, 1944 — June 27, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Patricia A. Cobb. Born on January 1, 1944, in Gary, Indiana, Patricia graced this world with her gentle presence until June 27, 2026, when she peacefully departed this life at her home. Patricia was the cherished daughter of Amos and Lillie Cobb, who preceded her in death, alongside her siblings Verdane Cobb, Darryl Cobb, Peggy Chambers, Joan Crockett, Amos Cobb Jr., and Great- Grandson Elijah Wright. Their memories, along with the love they shared, remain a cherished comfort to those surviving her. A devoted mother, Patricia is survived by her loving daughter, Yvonne Hamilton-Hudson, and her son, Calvin Cobb, who carry forth her legacy of kindness, strength, and grace. Patricia’s pride and joy were her grandchildren: Shakida Amos, Shaquille Melchor, Shaniqua (affectionately known as Nicki) Melchor, Shatori Hood-Collins, Heaven Hudson, and Chosen Hudson, along with Patrick Cobb. Her family expanded further to include ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, each a testament to the enduring love she nurtured throughout her life. Patricia dedicated over two decades of her life to working at Ford Motor Company, where she was known not only for her diligent work ethic but also for the warmth and camaraderie she brought to her colleagues. Her commitment to her career was matched only by her dedication to her family, to whom she was a constant source of support and encouragement. Those who knew Patricia will remember her as a beacon of love and resilience, a woman whose door was always open and whose heart was always full. Her home was a sanctuary for family gatherings, filled with laughter, stories, and the comforting aroma of her delicious cooking, which she lovingly shared with all who entered. Patricia's life was one of selfless devotion, her hands always ready to offer comfort, and her heart ever open to those in need. Her legacy of love and compassion continues to live on in the hearts of those she touched, a lasting reminder of the gentle strength that defined her character. In celebrating Patricia's life, we honor the countless ways she enriched the lives of those around her. As we gather to remember her, let us find solace in the memories we shared and the love that will forever bind us to her. A memorial service will be held to honor Patricia’s life and legacy, details of which will be announced shortly. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Patricia’s name to a charity close to her heart, continuing her legacy of giving and compassion. Patricia A. Cobb’s life was a testament to the power of love and family, a guiding light that will shine brightly in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed, yet her spirit will remain ever-present, guiding us with her gentle touch from above.
