Patricia ‘Padi’ Crenshaw

Patricia, born on January 21, 1957, in the heart of Kansas City, left this world on October 21, 2026, at home, embraced by the deep love of her family. Her life's journey was marked by a rich tapestry of warmth, humor, and an indomitable spirit that left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. The beloved daughter of the late John and Betty Crenshaw, Patricia was preceded in death by her sister Jeannie, her dear brother Gary Robert, her niece Pamela, and many beloved aunts and uncles, including Dorothy, Shirley, Phyllis, Karen, Sharon, and Jerry. She is survived by her sister Carol, her devoted son Anthony Thomas, her loving nieces Stacey (Gary) and Jackie, her nephew Gary, and her granddaughter Mikaila (Liam), who was the light of her life. Patricia's educational journey began at William Chrisman High School, which she left in 1973, determined to carve her own path in the world. Her career varied and vibrant, she spent 30 years working in various bars, where she was known for her lively spirit and engaging conversation. Later, she devoted 20 years to the funeral business with Bailey Transfer, offering comfort and care to those in need. Patricia was a woman of many talents and passions. Her creativity shone through in her love for remodeling and upcycling, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. An aficionado of music and movie trivia, Patricia possessed an exquisite taste in jewelry and perfume that mirrored her unique style and personality. Her presence was magnetic; she was the kind of person who would turn heads as she entered a room, whether it was due to her quick wit, striking beauty, or her larger-than-life personality. Patricia had a way of keeping everyone around her on their toes, always ready with a story or a joke that could light up the darkest of days. Though she never married, Patricia shared a deep bond with a man named Tom Brown, whose memory she always cherished. Her relationships were characterized by deep love and unwavering loyalty, offering support and kindness to all who knew her. A celebration of Patricia's life will be held on November 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM at The Fraternal Order of the Eagles, located at 4726 Merriam Dr, Overland Park, KS. In honor of Patricia's generous spirit, the family kindly suggests that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
