Patricia (Patti) Joan Martsch

Patricia (Patti) Joan Martsch, born on October 8, 1956, in Calgary, Alberta, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Patricia was the cherished daughter of Silvia and Len Otto Martsch, who predeceased her, and she leaves behind her beloved son James (Jim) Martsch and daughter-in-law Sheila Martsch. Patti was a woman of extraordinary warmth and humor. Known for her quick wit and infectious smile, she had a remarkable ability to make everyone around her feel truly welcome and appreciated. Her laughter and kindness resonated with all who knew her, leaving a lasting impression of joy and compassion. A lover of animals and nature, Patti shared her life with her dear cat, Miss Mazee, and her budgie, Chico, who brought her immense joy and companionship. She found delight in the simple pleasures of life, especially enjoying the breathtaking views of the Calgary skyline from her home in Mayland Heights. Her keen eye for beauty was reflected in her love for photography, capturing the moments and scenes that filled her heart with happiness. Patti’s memory will be celebrated at a service held at her home in Mayland Heights, Calgary, on October 3, 2026, at 12:30 PM. Friends and family are welcome to gather at 4 - 819 McNeill Rd NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 5W5, Canada, to honor her life and share in the warmth and love she so freely gave. In lieu of flowers, Patti’s family kindly requests that donations be made to The Calgary Cancer Society, a cause close to her heart.
