It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Patrice Manning, who departed this life on May 7, 2026, at the age of 45, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Born on November 29, 1980, in Washington, DC, Patrice was a beacon of warmth and vivacity, whose legacy of love, laughter, and resilience will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Patrice was the beloved daughter of Yvonne Manning and George Burton. Though predeceased by her cherished mother, Yvonne, Patrice is survived by her devoted sons, Jalen Graham and Jamal Graham, who were the light of her life. Her siblings, Jeremiah Conaway, Lorenzo Blyther, and Aniya Blyther, along with a host of family and friends, will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
A proud graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, Patrice embarked on a career that showcased her leadership and dedication. She spent several years working at Old Navy, honing her skills and building relationships, before becoming the manager at Lane Bryant, where she served with distinction for a decade. Her colleagues remember her as a compassionate leader, always ready with a snappy joke and a smile to brighten the day.
Beyond her professional achievements, Patrice's life was a tapestry woven with vibrant threads of passion and joy. A true aficionado of GOGO music, Patrice found solace and expression in its rhythms, often sharing her love for this unique genre with those around her. Her culinary skills were unmatched, and her kitchen was a haven where love was the main ingredient in every dish. Family gatherings were incomplete without Patrice's laughter and her famous home-cooked meals, which she prepared with unmatched care and creativity.
Patrice's love for comedy was infectious, and she had an innate ability to find humor in the everyday moments, bringing joy and light to those fortunate enough to share in her company. Her quick wit and snappy jokes were legendary, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Above all, Patrice cherished her family. Her love was unwavering and unconditional, a testament to the depth of her character and the strength of her spirit. Patrice's legacy will live on through her family and the countless lives she touched with her kindness, humor, and generosity.
A service to celebrate Patrice Manning's extraordinary life will be held on May 30, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Howell Funeral Home, located at 10220 Guilford Road, Jessup, MD 20794. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Patrice, to honor a life well-lived and a spirit that will never be forgotten.
