It is with a heavy heart yet an enduring sense of gratitude for having shared in her remarkable life that we announce the passing of Pathy Pelt, who departed this world peacefully at her home on March 12, 2026, in the loving presence of her family. Born on September 13, 1953, in the vibrant city of Mobile, Alabama, Pathy embraced life with a warmth and gentleness that touched all who knew her. Pathy was a devoted wife to her beloved spouse, Mitchell Evans, with whom she shared a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Together, they built a family that was the center of her world, nurturing it with unwavering dedication and abundant affection. As a mother, Pathy was a guiding light to her daughters, Patricia Anderson, Velma Pelt, and Dianna Mcquiter. She cultivated a loving environment, teaching them the values of kindness, perseverance, and the importance of family bonds. Her love extended beyond her daughters, as she was a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren, each of whom she adored and doted upon: Michael Mcquiter, Marshall Mcquiter, Priscilla Scott, Patrick Mcquiter, and Wesley Mcquiter, among others. Pathy's legacy continues to grow, as she was also blessed with 23 great-grandchildren, who will carry her memory forward with love and pride. Pathy faced her illness with remarkable courage and dignity, her spirit unyielding even as her body grew weary. In her final days, she was surrounded by the comfort and compassion of the dedicated staff at Spring Hill Medical Center, to whom the family extends their deepest gratitude. Their kindness and care provided solace during a difficult time, and for that, the family is eternally thankful. In accordance with Pathy's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor her life and her journey into the next. Though intimate, the love and memories shared will be boundless, reflective of the profound impact she had on all who were fortunate to know her. Pathy's family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to friends and extended family who have offered support and condolences during this time of sorrow. Your kindness is a testament to the many lives Pathy touched. As we say goodbye to a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, we hold her memory close, comforted by the knowledge that she lives on in the hearts of those she loved. Forever in our hearts, Pathy will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering strength, and the love she so generously shared. Her life was a testament to the power of kindness and the enduring bonds of family. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire and nurture all those who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made in Pathy's memory to a charity of your choice, celebrating her life by extending kindness to others as she so often did. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
