Pathy P Aguilar
May 1, 1976 — March 20, 2026
It is with profound sadness and heartfelt appreciation for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Pathy P Aguilar on March 20, 2026. Born on May 1, 1976 in Iloilo Pototan, Philippines, Pathy left this world peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones, after a courageous battle against an abdominal mass. She was 49 years old.
Pathy was the cherished daughter of Adela and the late Felipe Palma. The loving wife of Domingo and step-mother to Francesca. From an early age, she demonstrated a remarkable strength and resilience that inspired everyone around her. Her father, Felipe, who predeceased her, was a guiding light in her life, and she carried his love and wisdom with her every day.
Pathy dedicated her life to making a positive impact in the lives of others. As an Overseas Worker, she spent seven years in Singapore caring for three children, and six years in Hong Kong looking after an elderly woman of 80 years. Her gentle nature and nurturing spirit left an indelible mark on those she cared for, and her contributions as a domestic helper were deeply valued by the families she served.
As fate would have it Pathy met the love of her life, Domingo, online, July 3, 2023. Domingo flew to Hong Kong in November 2023 and proposed. Through tiring immigration applications and documentation Pathy finally arrived in the US on November 25, 2024 and the two were married on November 26, 2024
Beyond her professional endeavors, Pathy was a devout member of her community. She was actively involved in the Baptist church in Hong Kong and at the New Life Assembly of God, in Corning where she found joy and fulfillment in fellowship and worship. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and her commitment to her church family was unwavering.
Pathy had a passion for gardening, an interest that brought her immense peace and happiness. She took great pride in maintaining a vibrant and flourishing garden, ensuring that every weed was pulled and every plant, tree, and flower was tended to with love and care. Her garden was a reflection of her nurturing spirit, a testament to her belief in growth and renewal.
Those who knew Pathy remember her most for her caring smile and her eagerness to lend a helping hand. Whether she was at work, in church, or simply spending time with friends, she was always ready to pitch in—be it cleaning dishes, moving tables, or sweeping and mopping floors. Her selflessness and kindness extended far beyond her immediate circles, touching the lives of everyone she encountered.
Pathy's legacy is one of compassion, dedication, and grace. She taught us the importance of serving others, of finding beauty in the simple things, and of maintaining hope and faith even in the face of life's challenges. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family and by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
As we mourn the loss of our beloved Pathy, we also celebrate the beautiful life she lived. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire us all.
