Born in Jacksonville, Florida, on April 3, 1939, Pat lived a life filled with love, compassion, and dedication, touching the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Pat was a beacon of kindness and joy, known for her radiant smile that could light up any room. Her helpful nature and unwavering support for friends and family were hallmarks of her character. She carried these qualities into her career, where she spent 30 fruitful years, earning the admiration and respect of her colleagues and community. On June 10, 1976, Pat married her beloved husband, Jimmy Helm, forging a bond that endured for over five decades. Together, they built a life rich in love and laughter, raising their daughter Kathy with the same values and warmth that Pat embodied. Pat's role as a nurturing mother extended into a joyful grandmotherhood, where she cherished every moment spent with her grandson who was the light of her life. Though Pat has been preceded in death by her parents and a beloved son and grandson, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jimmy Helm, her loving daughter Kathy, and her dear sister Nancy who will carry forward her legacy of love and kindness. Pat was passionate about gardening and painting, often finding solace and joy in the beauty of nature and her artistic creations. An active member of her community, she lent her time and talents to various organizations, always eager to contribute to the well-being of others. A celebration of Pat's life will be held on June 3, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Jacksonville Memorial Gardens. Friends and family are invited to gather and honor a life well-lived, sharing stories and memories of the remarkable woman who touched so many lives. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Orange Park Hospital and Riverside Acute Care, as well as friends and neighbors who provided exceptional care and support during Pat's final days.
