Pansy Taylor - Nunn
February 21, 1954 — July 8, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pansy Taylor-Nunn, who left this world unexpectedly at her home on July 8, 2026. Born on February 21, 1954, in Greensburg, Kentucky, Pansy was a beacon of love, kindness, and devotion to all who knew her.
Pansy's journey began in the nurturing embrace of her parents, Ozro Nunn and Leone Marie Karnes Nunn-Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved brother Edward Earl (Ed) Nunn, both sets of grandparents, and her cherished husband, Harold Wayne Taylor, with whom she shared a loving marriage after their wedding on a beautiful June day in Louisville, Kentucky. Together, they raised a daughter, Angela Marie (Angie) Taylor, who carries forward her mother's legacy of love and strength.
Pansy is survived by her devoted daughter Angie, her loving sister Evelyn Elaine Masters, and her caring brother Wayne Keith (Jolly or Slim) Nunn. Her life was enriched by the enduring friendships she forged with Maria Williams, Tammie Foley, and Lena Ray, who stood by her side for decades. Pansy's warmth extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of countless friends and relatives who cherished her presence.
A woman of many talents and passions, Pansy took immense pride in earning her GED, a testament to her determination and resilience. Her faith journey led her from her Baptist roots to the Catholic Church, ultimately finding inspiration in the teachings of Joyce Meyer and Brother Hagee. Her spiritual journey guided her through life's challenges, and she shared this strength with those around her.
Pansy’s love for crafts and plants was well-known, and her home was a testament to her creativity and nurturing spirit. She possessed a unique talent for caregiving, often going above and beyond for her loved ones. Whether it was driving three hours with her sister to care for her grandmother after a long workweek or tending to friends in need, Pansy's heart knew no bounds.
A memorial service to honor Pansy's extraordinary life will be held on July 19, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Arch L Heady at Resthaven, located at 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Pansy are invited to come together to celebrate her life and legacy.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of one's choice. They extend their deepest gratitude to the First Responders, the funeral home staff, and all the family and friends for their prayers, support, and overwhelming kindness during this difficult time.
Pansy Taylor-Nunn will forever remain in our hearts, a testament to a life well-lived and a love everlasting.
