Pamelia Bedingfield

Pamelia Bedingfield, a cherished presence in the lives of all who knew her, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2026, after a courageous battle with dementia. Born on October 29, 1941, in Tuscaloosa, Pamelia was the beloved daughter of Ralph and Theresa McGee, who predeceased her. A proud graduate of Druid City High School and the University of Alabama, Pamelia's love for music and education defined her professional and personal life. She dedicated many years to the University of Alabama before retiring and devoted her talents as the choir director and organist at the First Methodist Church of Greensboro. Her passion for music extended beyond her career, as she found immense joy in teaching piano and sharing her love of music with others. Pamelia was an active member of Skyland Baptist, where her faith and kindness left a lasting impact on the community. Her generous spirit and dedication to service were evident through her involvement in various church activities and her commitment to enriching the lives of those around her. Pamelia found great pleasure in the simple joys of life. She spent many happy hours working in her yard, nurturing her beloved houseplants, and enjoying the beauty of nature. Her gentle touch and loving care were evident in both her garden and her relationships with friends and family. She is survived by her daughter, Joanne Lollar, and her husband, Brent; her three grandchildren, Rebecca Stevens and her husband, Grant; Laura Lollar, and Wesley Lollar; and her four great-grandchildren, Asher, Lucy, Judah, and Jonah Stevens. Pamelia's family was her greatest pride and joy, and her legacy of love and warmth will continue to live on through them. In accordance with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Pamelia's life. The family kindly suggests that those who wish to honor her memory consider making a donation to the Angel Tree Mission, an organization close to her heart. Pamelia Bedingfield's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and music. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and community will be dearly missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
