Pamela Sue Turner
May 27, 1951 — March 8, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Pamela Sue Turner, who left this world peacefully on March 8, 2026, at the age of 74, after facing complications from a stroke. Pam was surrounded by the love of her family and the prayers of those whose lives she touched.
Pam was born on May 27, 1951, in Fresno, California, to Edwin and Nora Smith. She was the youngest of their five children and was predeceased by her beloved parents, her cherished husband Jack, and her siblings Raymond, Roy, Jean, and Shirley. She is survived by her devoted brothers, Jim (Kaye) and Erwin (Mary), her loving sister Joan (Charles), and a host of nieces and nephews who adored their Aunt Pam.
In 1970, Pam married the love of her life, Jack Turner, and they shared 47 beautiful years together. Their marriage was a testament to love and devotion, and though they had no children of their own, their home was always filled with laughter and warmth, especially when their nieces and nephews came to visit.
Pam was a proud graduate of Fresno High School, class of 1968, where she laid the foundation for her life of service and kindness. She dedicated many years to working as a cafeteria worker, where her love for people and her community shone brightly. Outside of work, Pam was a dedicated member of the Brownsville Assembly of God in Lonoke, Arkansas. She served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years, sharing her faith and love with the children of the congregation until her health declined.
A woman of many talents, Pam delighted in cooking and was known for her generous spirit, often volunteering her culinary skills for church events. She was an avid crocheter and quilter, passing on her skills to anyone eager to learn. Pam's home was a haven of creativity and warmth, where every stitch was a testament to her patience and love.
Pam was a pillar of strength and compassion, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Her legacy is one of kindness, generosity, and an unyielding love for her family and friends. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
A funeral service to honor Pamela's life will be held on March 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Brownsville Assembly, located at 44 Watson Lane, Lonoke, Arkansas. The family invites all who knew Pam to join in celebrating her remarkable life.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Baptist Hospital for their compassionate care and support during Pam’s final days. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Pam's memory to the Brownsville Assembly of God or a charity of your choice that supports stroke research.
Pamela Sue Turner may have left this earthly realm, but her love and legacy will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to know her. Rest in peace, dear Pam, knowing you were deeply loved and will be forever remembered.
